Australia Fair Organ
"Australia Fair Grand Concert Organ" is a Belgium built travelling Concert Organ, built in the workshops of Verbeeck’s Organ Works (Est. 1884) in Antwerp.
“Australia Fair” has the equivalent sound of a 20-piece band and has played at many major government-run or funded functions throughout Australia, including performing at “Yarralumba” the residence of the Governor General of Australia.
It is the only traveling Concert Organ of its type in Australia. There has been a long tradition in England and Europe of having these instruments at local Festivals, Fairs and Shows and we have a wide range of traditional fairground and popular music that provides a unique carnival atmosphere to these events.
These instruments were common up to 1920s, as prior to amplified sound, they were the only real alternative to live musicians. These instruments had an advantage over musicians in that they required no down time to rest between set
